1. What Planet Poll is
Planet Poll (planetpoll.org) is an independent project that runs anonymous online polls on big questions. The polls are made for curiosity and discussion. They are not scientific research, not a forecast and not an official vote of any kind.
2. Voting
- One vote per person in each poll.
- Voting with bots, scripts or other automated tools, and any attempt to get around the limits or the human check, is not allowed.
- We may exclude votes that look automated or fraudulent from the results, without notice.
3. Using the results
The poll results are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 license. This means:
- Non-commercial use is free. You may quote, share and discuss the results for personal, educational, research or non-profit purposes, as long as you name the source: “Planet Poll (planetpoll.org)”, with a link where possible.
- Commercial use needs our written permission first. This includes publishing the results in commercial media, advertising or marketing, paid reports and products, and using the data to train or evaluate commercial AI systems. To ask for permission, write to [email protected].
- Collecting the results automatically, for example by scraping the site or its API, also needs our permission.
4. Your data
We collect only your answers to the poll questions. We do not ask for names, emails or accounts, and we do not store IP addresses. How this works in detail is described on the How it works page.
5. Site content
The design, code, texts, images and the Planet Poll name belong to the project and may not be copied or reused without permission.
6. No guarantees
The site is provided “as is”. Polls may change, pause or end at any time. We are not responsible for decisions anyone makes based on the results.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
